Topical antibiotics: Are only minimally effective in dealing with an ingrown nail, and if no infection is present, the only benefit you're likely to get is from moistening the skin. The piece of nail that's stuck in your skin needs to be remove to get immediate and painless relief. Call a toe truck and bring it to a podiatrist. The sooner you do, the faster you'll feel better!

Bactrim (sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim): Although its a strong antibiotic, the cause of the pain and infection has to be removed for the antibiotic to take effect. You'll have to seek out a toe surgeon to remove the ingrown nail (office procedure). Hope this helps, good luck!
