Depends! .See below: Low platelets by itself does not usually cause headaches. Headaches could be part of a rare condition with low platelets called ttp that is a medical emergency. Headaches could also occur it platelets are very low and if there is bleeding in the brain, again a medical emergency. Headaches may occur as part of an illness that could also cause low platelets.
