These symptoms....: Are more consistent with anemia than thrombocytopenia (the fancy word for low platelets). Anemic patients often describe being fatigued, having little energy reserve or having headaches. Low platelets can lead to bleeding and bruising. Do you happen to know your hematocrit? You should be able to get that info from your doctor since it comes from the same blood draw as the PLT count. May be low 2.
