Sometimes: Bronchitis is inflammation of the airways usually caused by an infection, bacterial, viral, or fungal, which usually remains contagious until effective treatment is on board, e.g. Antibiotics. Once the sputum clears of pathogens then that person is no longer contagious. For common infections that means about 4-5 days of therapy.
