M.D. visit: Frequent lung infections/non specific inflammation may be related to a number of conditions. If there is a retained aspirated material, reflux and aspiration into the lung, TB,immunodeficiency, these can be related to this occurrence. I would suggest that you have a chest radiograph, lung function testing and assessment for possible immunodeficiency with lab testing. Physician visit is indicated.

Frequent infections: Hi beverly463, i see you have been screened for autoimmune disease. Frequent bouts of bronchitis would be suspicious for a weak immune system, acid reflux, severe allergies( pollen and molds), aspiration, or even residual infection even after treatment. Lung function tests, repeat immune panel, chest xray, and a referral to a pulmonologist would be the best course of action. Hope thats helpful.
