Asthma?: Do you have asthma or do you smoke? Smoking will definitely increase your risk for recurrent bronchial and respiratory infections. You could also have some asthma that has maybe not been diagnosed yet. People with asthma sometimes get sicker when exposed to mild cold viruses or allergies. See your doctor for consult.

Quite uncommon: While I would really need to know more about the true details of your history, it sounds like you need some sort of evaluation for a compromised immune system or respiratory system. You may consider being referred to an immunologist or pulmonologist. Best of luck.
