In most labs: The lower end of "normal" is 4. The normal range is just that, a range. A WBC of 3.68 may be perfectly normal for you, but depending on the hgb, platelets and the differential could also be indicative of illness. Talk to the ordering physician about your result.

See below...: It's minimally decreased if the patient is an adult (normal: 4.0 - 11.0) but this value is almost meaningless in the absence of other pertinent clinical information about the patient.
