Muscle inflammation: Elevated CPK can occur with inflamed muscle tissue. This can occur secondary to meds (example statins), injury to muscle groups (causing rhabdomyolisis), or connective tissue disorders (autoimmune reactions) like polynyalgia rheumatica.

CPK : Need more information. What happened four weeks ago. Did you have crush injury? Were you doing strenuous exercise? What was the total CPK number? Were you told that you had rhabdomyolysis? Were you treated for that? Are you using statins or some unknown herbal meds?Usually with proper hydration the condition is resolved in couple of days. Four weeks is awe fully long time. Please see your doctor.

CPK does not...: ...Cause weakness; the enzyme (creatinine phospho kinase) leaks out of damaged muscles regardless of the mechanism of damage (trauma, infection, dehydration, overexertion, etc.) ask your doctor to discuss the cause of your high CPK and weakness.
