Crestor, being hydrophilic,has a much less tendency to cause myalgia& raise CPK. Unless there are other causes for your elevated ALT, like hepatitis or fatty liver, there is concern that Crestor is the culprit. Many clinicians would keep you on the Crestor& keep closely following the ALT. However,at your age I wouldn't as I think the benefit isn't worth the risk. But your MD knows you the best!
