Muscle enzyme: CPK elevations are seen in muscle disease, acute cardiac events, muscle trauma (rhabdomyolysis) but also, in weight lifters, and marathon runners. So, can be rather serious or benign. Perhaps, a severe localized cramp could cause enough muscle trauma to raise the level modestly, but, if significantly up, need to test further and uncover the etiology.
