See your surgeon: You may have symptoms from the recurrent or residual remaining hernia, or the pain you had previously was not resolved with mesh removal surgery. May need another surgery. May need anesthesia pain management injections if the hernia has not recurred. Needs a new physical exam with your surgeon.

Unusual indication: Yes , some times mesh will be removed due to various reasons , now most likely you have weans or hernia , if you want to do push ups / sit ups you have to get it repaired , see your surgeon.
