Probably not: Croup is frequently caused by a virus that makes the upper part of the airway very sensitive. Changes in the temperature of the water and the air could irritate the condition. To be safe i would wait until the illness is passed. If there is a question, talk to your child's doctor.

Consult pediatric dr: While it may be safe for children with mild cases of croup to swim in shallow areas, more serious cases can pose dangers due to narrowing of airway. For best results, get a pediatrician’s approval before letting your child swim with croup.
