Doctor can check: Lower right abdominal discomfort can be from many things. For pain there, appendicitis is always a concern (pain usually worsens over time, with fever coming on). If one is constipated for several days, stool can back up all the way to the right side, and cause discomfort or pain. Gallstones and kidney stones can also cause pain. One's doctor or the ER can evaluate. Somebody else should drive.

Abdominal pain: Much more information about your symptom is needed in order to advise you. Is this upper or lower abdominal discomfort? Are there associated digestive symptoms? Does eating bring them on or help them? Any nausea, abdominal tenderness or bowel symptoms? If symptoms persist see a physician who will take your history and then examine you in order to make a diagnosis and treat you.
