Neural impingement: Pain radiating back head to distal upper extremity one side in fortyish male suggest radiculopathy; impingement of major nerve(s) these regions. Cervical spine neural outlet tracts suspect, as is impingement within shoulder region; called thoracic outlet syndrome (tos). Physiatrists ; osteopaths can discern. Electrodiagnostic tests provide info. Unfortunately, neurologists often skeptical of tos.
