See your doctor: It's probably a urinary tract infection. If you can't control your urine or bowel habits, then you should go to your local emergency room because that's a more serious complaint.

Do you mean painful : Urination or pain in back when urinating? First, make sure that you do not have a urinary tract infection post op by seeing your doctor. Otherwise, some bearing down when urinating may be still creating some back symptoms post op on what is called a valsava manuver. If it persists, see your surgeon for possible causes such as the possibility of a recurrent disc herniation with a risk up to 13%.
