Wrong splint?: If you are wearing the splint and you are getting popping or cracking noises in the wrist, then it is not likely immobilizing the wrist and not helping. Also, carpal tunnel doesn't cause popping or cracking in the wrist. If your numbness is getting worse, then best to have the hand evaluated by a hand surgeon and possibly tested with an emg/ncv study.
