Dark circles Around the eyes are either hereditary, due to sinusitis, are a hallmark of depression, and can be caused by smoking pot. In the latter case the circle usually turns into a wedge shape and crosses over the zygomatic arch or the bone under your eye .it can also occur with significant weight loss.
