Get checked: Regio lateral is usually refers to the flank region which is between the rib cage and the hip region. If this is where you are referring then any painful lump should be examined and evaluated as soon as possible. It would be important to rule out an area of infection and even a trapped hernia. It is best to be seen by your primary physician who can refer you as necessary.
