A member asked:

Hello! i have a painful, purple, pea sized, bump on the lower-mid section of my palm. ive always seen a small, soft, bump there, but now its hard to the touch and painful. i was wondering if its necessary to see a doctor. i dont have insurance?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Palm lump: Some nodularity of Palm tendons can occur but shouldn't be painful or tender. In view of the discomfort, you should have a medical professional examine your hand and advise you. You could visit a walk in clinic and explain your lack of insurance.
