Multiple Sclerosis: Old age. Absolutely unfair question! too many good therapies out there with too many good physicians who can treat and control this disease very well. It just requires patient compliance to find the right combo of meds to control the disease.

With treatment, most: Ms patients can have a long, productive life. Only the rapid type is likely to progress to life threatening degrees early. Untreated ms can bring infections that can become very serious too. So, be involved in treatment and follow healthy lifestyle habits. Pneumonia: Occurs when disease has become so progressive, and pt has become so disabled that they are bedridden, there is susceptibility for infection, and pneumonia seems to be very deadly in this group. But can protect if use potent MS agent such as Gilenya or Tysabri (natalizumab).
