Best drug? Debatable: There are currently 3 oral agents approved, 4 injectible agents, and 1 infusion (tysabri (natalizumab)) approved for relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis. There is no question that tysabri (natalizumab) is the strongest. There is some suggestion that at least one of the oral agents (gilenya) is stronger than some of the injections, but with more risks. It is debatable if any of the other orals or injectibles are stronger.

WHAT??: Where did you hear this?? Two of the oral meds, Gilenya (fingolimod) and Tecfidera, are both far more potent than any of the interferons, and you would do far better over a period of time by taking the most potent medication fitting your needs. Suggest you discuss these issues with your neurologist, and assess whether your current medication is best for you.
