Which antidepressants would be suggested for a patient that has ms?

Many options good: Many kinds of antidepressants could help someone with MS, if they needed them. Citalopram, Amitriptyline, and Fluoxetine are examples. It should not be necessary for a psychiatrist or psychologist to ask a neurologist about this. If someone is taking other medicines, there are few interactions of MS treatments and antidepressants.

Many valuable choice: Would select any of a number of newer agents on market based on whether you need increased energy or calming. Have used a lot of Cymbalta, (duloxetine) which can also cover painful issues, and have found Lexapro to be well tolerated. Sometimes, counseling will be very effective, in absence of anti-depressant.
