See below: Since you are not exercising, you could have inflammatory myositis, metabolic myopathy, or some neuromuscular disorder. You need to see a rheumatologist or a neuromuscular specialist.

See your PCP.: I have more questions than answers. Are you still actively exercising? Oftentimes, when an former athletic person stop their activities, their muscles deteriorate to fat. Has your diet changed? It maybe necessary to get a complete physical examination to get checked for other muscle myopathies.
