is it possible to determine which kind of pink eye you have?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Tim Conrad
33 years experience Ophthalmology
You can't: Generally only trained professionals can determine the type of pink eye you have. Most cases of pink eye are caused by viruses and are self-limited - that means they get better without treatment, like a cold does.
