See below: Probably because you binge on donuts at other times. Binge eating is always bad for it is exactly like choking a car engine, resulting in incomplete combustion of gasoline. The brain requires a high rate of oxygen consumption and when it is impaired by high calorie malnutritrion it gives you unusual reactions. See my blog "oxygen, the spark of life" that you can google.

Many: The worst is dragged out deadly fatigue, "brain fog", lack of judgement as in driving etc. We are a sleep deprived nation and it reflects the collective health of us all. Make sure that your diet is good. Get rid of the "juhk". Try to get some information on meditation. Slow down!

No!: Caffeine is a drug that excites the nervous system and it therefore uses energy. The lift from it is beause you are "borrowing" cellular energy that you can ill afford. However sleep works, it is obviously a restorative mechanism involving energy metabolism. The proof of its drug effect is that people often get withdrawal headaches.

Sleepiness: Sleep deprivation (not getting enough time in bed) leads to daytime sleepiness and fatigue, with difficulty staying awake during the day. It also caused decrease in concentration and memory. 7-8 hours of sleep every night is necessary for most people, but most people no longer get it and are chronically sleep deprived.
