JUVENILE ARTHRITIS: The rheumatologist will try other nsaids before putting you on Methotrexate and other rx . He will explain clearly the sideeffects. So far I do not see serious problems.

JiA treatment: For multi-drug therapy for jia, Methotrexate is more commonly paired with biologic medication. For methotrexate, watch for mouth sores and nausea. Blood testing will be needed to check blood counts and liver tests. For treatment with plaquenil, (hydroxychloroquine) plan to have annual eye exams.
