A member asked:

I have crossbite, (bottom jaw brought forward), and i'm 16, is it quite serious?

Not serious, but...: The kind of crossbite you describe may be due to an overdeveloped lower jaw, or an underdeveloped upper jaw, leading to a class iii malocclusion. You may still be growing, so it's important to determine that. You should have your parents schedule an appointment for you to see an orthodontist or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon in consultation. Good luck!

Will worsen: At 16 you still have more growth ahead of you. During late puberty lower jaw outgrows upper jaw, so problem will worsen. Important that you see an orthodontist and an oral surgeon now to establish base line and monitor growth. They will team, at the appropriate time, with your general dentist to resolve your problem.
