Many causes of itch: Lots of things can cause anal itching...Finding a worm or the eggs narrows the the diagnosis.

????????????: If you want to treat butt itching use a cold wash wrag and apply OTC hydrocortisone twice a day.That helps if you have PW or not. Since food intolerance, food allergy, yeast, strep and many other agents can cause an itchy butt, your chance of getting relief by assuming the cause is minimal.
