I think my doc over prescribed me albenza (albendazole) for pinworms. 2 200mg 2x day for 7 days?? it makes me really ill. i read you take it once then again in 2 wk

Both correct: If it is only pinworms you are being treated for, then you are correct - 400mg one time and repeat in 2 weeks. Other worms, though, like a tapeworm, doc did use correct dose- 400mg BID for 7-1 days. Talk with doc and see if you had any worms other than pinworms or at risk for them may be why that dose was used. Or it may be a mistake on his part. Just ask for the reasoning behind the dose he chose
