Fruits/veg, spices: Most fruits and vegetables are low-fat and don't have extra salt that can exacerbate heart conditions such as blood pressure or heart failure. Spices can be added to foods for flavor with no additional artery-blocking cholesterol. You can also eat low-fat cuts of meat or beans as well. Unprocessed foods are generally better for your heart.
