Intermittent fasting: Consider Intermittent Fasting. Pick a day a week (or two half days) and drink only low calorie fluids during the chosen period. Fasting is easy, saves money, is easily verifiable, requires little prior planning and eliminates all calculation and intense monitoring of other "diets." Do NOT measure weight frequently. Weight loss is by nature slow (maybe 1 lb per week).
