Ive been mostly vegetarian for 20 years, and i went fully vegan about 6 mo. ago (finally cutting out eggs). im having ankle and shin issues from running that are taking longer to heal than expected. could this be due to my vegan diet? i eat healthy

Possibly: Some wound specialists feel that a vegan's diet can be deficient in protein and thus impair wound healing. Vegans with impaired wound healing would probably have to supplement their diet with protein supplements. Whey protein powders are considered ok in strict vegan diets.
