It should not: No, it shouldn't. However, if it is done in significant excess, all bets are off. If its done less than 90 minutes a day, 6 days a week, you should be fine.

Yes: Metacarpal bossing is caused at the point where the long bones (metacarpal) and the wrist bones meet. This joint has limited motion by design. Yoga wrist positions place additional stress on this joint, causing microfractures. They heal, add callous to the region. Repetitive actions creates a "mountain of callous" to point where it's painful.
