Talk with your doc: Most medications are at least partly metabolized by the liver, and if your liver is impaired, the medication levels could increase, possibly to dangerous, toxic levels. Your liver could be stressed even more by taking these medications. Check with your doctor, many medications are given at lower doses when your liver is impaired such as in cirrhosis, or should not be taken at all.
