Keep looking...: Fevers, especially in the immunocompromised, need careful management. Fevers can be caused by infections like bacteria, which can be treated with broad spectrum antibiotics. Antibiotics won't help, however, if the infection is caused by a virus or fungus/mold. There are special, sensitive tests that can be done to look for these, and imaging can sometimes be helpful.

See below: Sometimes patients with lymphoma get tumor fevers. If infection has been ruled out treatment with low dose nsaia's such as ibuprofen, naprosyn or Celebrex (celecoxib) will eliminate the fevers.
