Depends on symptoms: Depends where the pain is located. There are several different organs in the abdomen and not just the stomach. Please be more specific for a good answer. It could be chronic gastritis, reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic gallbladder problem, recurrent pancreatitis, etc.
