Im taking metoprolol for hbp for 4 years and i also have stomach issues . ive noticed after taking the pill i will start having stomach pains . can this be the reason im having stomach issues ? if so should i talk to my dr about switching meds?

I'm not a fan of taking beta blockers like metoprolol as first line treatment of hypertension unless you tend to have a rapid resting heart rate or coronary disease. You don't mention what dose you take, but they can cause diarrhea & other abdominal symptoms including abdominal discomfort.
