Neck mass: Se an ENT as this could be a sebaceous cyst, a lymph node or parotid gland neoplasm, among other things. It warrants an exam and possibly imaging, followed by a biopsy or removal of the mass.

Sign of infection: Your lymph gland is there. If it is one side you are developing an infection from something on that side. If it is both sides you may have something systemic. See your md or dentist when it is swollen.
