A member asked:

Patient(age-67)suffering from ascitis diagnosed by different test reports, yet doctors could not be able to find any reason, all reports are positive?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ascitis: The most common cause of ascitis is liver disease such as liver cirrhosis. Hepatitis b and c are by far the most common ones to cause. Malignant (cancer related) ascitis is another possibility. Occasionally, heart related ascitis caused by poorly controlled congestive heart failure can occur, but that's fairly rare.
