What's your question: You're describing paracentesis of ascites. That along w/tremendous weight loss in very short amount of time makes me think of cancer that's spread or end-stage liver disease. Not much more to tell you w/o any more information. If he doesn't want any more procedures, hospice might be appropriate to focus on comfort & caring rather than curing. But if he still wants to fight, need to get diagnosis.
