How bad for the body is it box if you have tmj?

Yes: Tmj is a description of the joint between the temporal bone of your skull and your mandible. Your TMJ is your temporal mandibular joint. Tmd or TMJ syndrome is problems associated with the joint. Trauma will damage any joint. Isn't boxing all about trauma?

Yes: A blow to your jaw may exacerbate your symptoms. I would try another sport.

Boxing with tmj: Yes! do not box if you have TMJ trouble. Trauma to the head, neck and TMJ is definitely to be avoided to prevent further TMJ irritation or damage. Despite helmets, head gear and bite guards you are very susceptible to further damage to your joints which are already compromised.

Definitely: Enough said...Boxing may be the cause and may exacerbate the problem. Even the mouthguards that are worn may contribute to more difficulties.

Depends: Depends how much your symptoms bother you. If mild, no problem. Severe and chronic pain not good overall for ones well being.
