Ear ache ?: After extractions pain is usually localized at the sites usually pain meds are only needed first 24 - 48 hours. Did you explain your symptoms and get a post op check with the dentist / surgeon? They might recommend cold compress or muscle relaxant or a temporary bite appliance also they may have noticed you had restricted TMJ prior to the extractions or that it was a very stressful extraction.

Ok dosage : You are taking at an appropriate doe and interval, but the question is why do you still ned this much pain relief 2 weeks after the extraction. You should see the surgeon and find out what is causing so much pain. Typically after 2 weeks you should have decreasing pain. There are treatments for TMJ pain, such as bite guard and soft diet.

Regimen: The maximum amount of ibuprofen for normal size or large adults is 800 milligrams per dose or 3200 mg per day (4 maximum doses). Use only the smallest amount of medication needed to get relief from your pain, swelling. See oral surgeon to manage this postop complication.

See OFP specialist: If you rely on NSAIDs or other not a definitive treatment or if your TMJ goes untreated it can worsen. For this reason, if you suffer from TMJ , you shouldn’t delay a diagnosis and you should find treatment from an experienced Orofacial Pain specialist.
