There's a mistake: Some physicians misdiagnose "cirrhosis" based on elevated liver enzymes or some of these hokey new blood tests that are supposed to "demonstrate fibrosis". Or she may actually have cirrhosis but not in the active phase, with normal liver enzymes, as on sobering up -- this isn't recovery, but it's good.
