Can a forgotten cbd stent cause liver cirrhosis? i'm not sure if there was a stent placed in my friend's cbd as the ercp was done 10 years ago. till date he has shown no signs of stent blockage and no cholangitis as well. any chance of cirrhosis?

Your friend will not get cirrhosis from a functioning CBD stent. That does not preclude cirrhosis from chronic viral infection, alcohol abuse or autoimmune hepatitis.
