You need to be followed by a liver doctor who can manage and control the above signs/symptoms as they occur at different rates.

Pre-cirrhosis: Stage 3 is considered a pre-cirrhotic state. Stage is 4 is considered established cirrhosis. Depending on the cause for these changes, different treatments may be available. Make sure that your mom is under the care of a liver specialist (hepatologist).
