Think long & hard: Removing ovaries prior to age 50 has been shown to drastically increase cardiovascular disease & result in earlier death. The heart protection the ovaries provide seems to continue even after the onset of menopause. Family history of ovarian cancer may lead to a recommendation for ovary removal & reduces cancer risk. Otherwise, this may not be a good idea.
