OTC pain meds: Also, call the dental office and see if you can move the appointment up since you are having so much pain.

New appointment: Either with your existing dentist or another one. We can always make room in our schedule the same day for patients who are in pain. Make sure your dentist knows that you are in pain and request an earlier appointment. If i were a patient in pain (true pain) and my dentist couldn't see me with a day or two at most, i would look for another dentist. It's your call.
