You should be fine: Your tooth will not decay in this time frame. If your dentist took impressions for your new crown, your adjacent teeth may shift. Since so little information was given, I suggest you call your dentist for further instruction.

You may be OK: Biggest concern is the adjacent/opposing teeth shifting, and then the permanent cap can't be seated. Ideally you should have temporary replaced.
