Pain: No neither procedure is painful as long as your doctor uses adequate anesthesia. You should feel no discomfort from either procedure!

Dental work: When the anesthetic wears off, some discomfort occurs, easily dealt with by the pain medication u are given.

It shouldn't: Dentistry today is virtually pain free... After you are given a local anesthetic, you should not feel anything.
