A member asked:

Can there be a way to tell cancer stage/severity from a pathology report?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No: The stage is determined by the clinician, not the pathologist. The report can hint at how aggressive the cancer might tend to be; high-grade cancers tend to be more aggressive than low-grade, and each of the hundreds of subtypes has its own "personality".
